I want to acknowledge and thank the following Kaiako/ teachers Claire Mouat, Ben Talbot, Ashleigh Dadrah, Megan Bird, and Megan Smith for their commitment to education but mostly their commitment to OUR tamariki over their time at Frimley.
Their dedication, time and mostly manaaki for all our tamariki is what makes our kura amazing. I wish them all the very best for their next venture.
A special thanks and acknowledgement to Michelle Brown for the long service of 15 years at Frimley School. Michelle, thank you for the many tamariki and whānau you have supported over the years. We will miss your big heart, patience, understanding but mostly your empathy you have for all tamariki.
We also bid farewell to two kaiawhina Sam Selby-Law and Madi Thomas. Thank you for the support and aroha you have given our tamariki.
E rere ana te mihi whakawhetai ki a kouotu katoa i ō koutou manaaki ki ta tātou kura i ngā wā katoa. Kia kaha, kia maia, kia manawanui.
Early next year in term 1, our three Heretaunga takoto noa duplexes (year 5&6) will be heading out to Camp Tukituki. This camp is a short 15-20 minute drive from Frimley school and is located near Haumoana on the edge of the Tukituki river. Each duplex will experience a two night and three day camp, where they will do a number of challenges, team building and whakawhānaungatanga activities to get to know each other. The cost of camp is $90 per student and you can pay online (go to our school website to find how to). This covers accommodation, food and activities. Here are the dates for each camp.
A team of 38 students represented our school at the local Hastings Districts Inter School Athletics for 2024. This is a year 4-8 competition with a number of track and field events. We had a really successful day which was cut short due to the weather. The only event we didn’t participate in were the relays. We had a number of children place first, second and third in a number of different events.
We also sent a team to compete in the Hawkes Bay Athletics Championships and we had amazing results. Roydan, Austin, Jaxon and Harper competed in a range of events with them all placing first, second or third in many of them. They also won the 4x100m relay.
Please come and have a thorough look through the lost property. There are lots of pairs of shoes. This is now located in the small office at the back of the hall. Anything left at the end of the term will be packed up and passed on.
The Senior Leadership Team has been analysing our Rongohia te Hau, Wellbeing and PaCT End of Year Data. I want to take the opportunity to share with you our EOY PaCT achievement data across the school. It is very pleasing and I know you will share the information individually with your tamariki when their final PaCT graphs are shared next week.
Overall School wide EOY Data of tamariki achieving AT or ABOVE expectations:
Thank you to Vicki Hutton who has been doing a great job in the library this year. ALL BOOKS are to be returned to school. The library is now closed for the year. Invoices will be coming home on Monday for students with overdue or lost books. The library is a special place in our school. Thank you also to our school librarians who have supported this māhi.
